Austria: Industrial production shrinks in November
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 1.0% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in November, following a 0.3% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in November worsened for durable consumer goods (+4.1% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +6.3% in October) and capital goods (-2.5% vs +0.3% in October). In contrast, readings picked up for non-durable consumer goods (+1.6% vs -1.8% in October) and intermediate goods (-0.4% vs -0.7% in October).
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production was down 0.3% in November, following 2.3% growth in the previous month.
