Belgium: Economic sentiment declines in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 95.1 in November, following October’s 95.4. Consequently, the index fell further below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-14.2 vs -12.6 in October), the construction sector (-9.2 vs -8.9 in October) and the services sector (+4.0 vs +7.7 in October). On the flipside, sentiment brightened in the retail sector (-8.6 vs -16.0 in October) and among consumers (-11.2 vs -12.9 in October).
