Belgium: Industrial production shrinks more quickly in November
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 2.3% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a 2.0% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in November worsened for manufacturing (-2.3% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -1.6% in October) and mining and quarrying (-8.4% vs +0.9% in October). In contrast, the reading for energy improved in November (-2.9% vs -5.0% in October).
In calendar-adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production increased 0.5% in November, following a 1.5% increase in the previous month.
