Chile: Economic activity decelerates in October
Latest reading: Economic activity was up 2.2% in annual terms in October, following 2.7% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for non-mining softened in October (+2.6% on a year-on-year basis vs +3.7% in September). In contrast, the reading for mining improved in October (-1.6% vs -4.9% in September).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, economic activity increased 0.7% in October, following a 0.4% rise in the previous month.
