China: Inflation picks up in February from January
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 1.3% on a year-on-year basis in February, following a 0.2% increase in the previous month. February’s reading was the strongest since January 2023, and was linked to higher consumer demand around the Lunar New Year festival period.
Finally, consumer prices were up 1.00% in February in month-on-month terms, following a 0.20% increase in the previous month.
