Costa Rica: Inflation stable in November from October
Latest reading: Consumer prices fell 0.4% in annual terms in November, stable from the prior month’s reading.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for healthcare (+1.21% vs +0.84% in October) and information and communication (-1.5% vs -6.3% in October). In contrast, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.8% vs +0.1% in October), transportation (-3.0% vs -2.8% in October) and housing (+1.0% vs +1.1% in October).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.47% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.19% increase in the prior month.
