Croatia: Economic sentiment increases in December
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 108.0 in December, following November’s 107.0. December’s reading was the highest since March 2024. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In December, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (+5.0 vs +4.7 in November), the services sector (+16.9 vs +12.5 in November), the retail sector (+8.9 vs +8.5 in November) and among consumers (-8.2 vs -10.4 in November). On the flipside, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (+14.1 vs +16.1 in November).
