Cyprus: Economic sentiment improves in December
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 107.4 in December, following November’s 106.6. December’s reading was the highest since February 2025. The index remained among the strongest in the EU and well above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In December, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (+4.1 vs +4.0 in November), the services sector (+13.8 vs +9.8 in November), the retail sector (+7.0 vs +4.3 in November) and among consumers (-10.3 vs -13.6 in November). Sentiment in the construction sector was stable from November at +13.9.
