Cyprus: Economic sentiment improves in February
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 105.6 in February, following January’s 105.1. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In February, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (+4.0 vs -0.1 in January), the construction sector (+4.4 vs +0.5 in January) and the retail sector (+3.5 vs +1.5 in January). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the services sector (+10.1 vs +14.1 in January) and among consumers (-12.2 vs -10.5 in January).
