Denmark: Manufacturing production contracts less quickly in December
Latest reading: Manufacturing production was down 1.0% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in December, following a 5.8% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in December improved for non-durable consumer goods (-2.8% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -7.2% in November) and intermediate goods (+5.8% vs -9.3% in November). In contrast, the reading for investment goods worsened in December (-1.1% vs -0.3% in November).
In seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, manufacturing production was down 7.0% in December, following a 1.9% decline in the previous month.
