Denmark: Manufacturing production shrinks in October
Latest reading: Manufacturing production fell 3.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in October, following an 8.6% rise in the prior month. October’s reading was the weakest since January 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for non-durable consumer goods worsened in October (-7.6% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +15.1% in September). In contrast, readings picked up for investment goods (+2.5% vs +0.5% in September) and intermediate goods (+2.1% vs -1.3% in September).
On a seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing production fell 0.7% in October, following a 9.4% rise in the prior month.
