Estonia: Inflation rises in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices increased 4.7% in annual terms in November, following a 4.5% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+6.6% on a year-on-year basis vs +6.4% in October), transportation (+10.4% vs +7.8% in October), housing and utilities (+3.4% vs +2.5% in October) and restaurants and hotels (+5.2% vs +4.1% in October). In contrast, price pressures reduced for recreation in November (-0.1% vs +5.7% in October).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 4.9% in annual terms in November, following a 4.6% increase in the previous month.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.48% in November in month-on-month terms, following a 0.09% increase in the previous month.
