Euro Area: Unemployment rate stabilizes in October
Latest reading: In October, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 6.4%, close to July’s record-low of 6.2%.
As for the Eurozone’s largest economies, the unemployment rate fell in Italy, while it stabilized in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.
Significant disparities in labor market conditions between members persist: Spain was the economy with the highest unemployment rate in October (10.5%), followed by Finland (9.8%). At the other end of the spectrum, Malta (3.1%) and Germany (3.8%) had the lowest unemployment rates.
