Finland: Economic sentiment rises in December
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 95.7 in December, following November’s 95. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In December, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-0.8 vs -5.3 in November). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (-29.7 vs -25.4 in November), the services sector (-1.2 vs +4.7 in November), the retail sector (-1.8 vs -0.8 in November) and among consumers (-6.6 vs -6.5 in November).
