Germany: Economic sentiment falls in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 91.3 in November, following October’s 91.6. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-18.8 vs -18.0 in October), the retail sector (-23.6 vs -21.3 in October) and consumer sentiment (-11.5 vs -10.9 in October). However, sentiment turned more upbeat in the construction sector (-12.1 vs -13.4 in October) and the services sector (+5.4 vs +4.1 in October).
