Greece: Industrial production loses momentum in December
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 1.4% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in December, following a 1.8% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in December softened for electricity supply (+1.9% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +4.0% in November) and water supply (-2.0% vs +5.6% in November). In contrast, readings picked up for manufacturing (+2.5% vs +1.3% in November) and mining and quarrying (+71.6% vs +1.9% in November).
On a working-day-adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 3.9% in December, following 4.3% growth in the prior month.
