Hungary: Industrial production shrinks more quickly in October
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 2.7% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 1.2% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, the reading for manufacturing deteriorated in October (-3.1% in annual terms vs -1.4% in September). In contrast, readings picked up for mining and quarrying (+1.9% vs -8.4% in September) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+7.1% vs +5.3% in September).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production rose 0.4% in October, following 1.3% growth in the prior month.
