Ireland: Economic sentiment drops in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 95.7 in November, following October’s 98.1. November’s reading was the lowest since April 2025. As a result, the index fell further below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (+3.3 vs +12.5 in October). In contrast, sentiment brightened in the construction sector (+25.0 vs +17.4 in October), the services sector (+16.0 vs +9.7 in October), the retail sector (+6.9 vs +5.6 in October) and among consumers (-18.0 vs -18.7 in October).
