Italy: Industrial production returns to growth in November
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 1.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a 1.0% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in November improved for manufacturing (+1.1% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -1.2% in October) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+3.9% vs +0.7% in October). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying worsened in November (-0.8% vs -0.6% in October).
In annual terms, industrial production increased 1.1% in November, following a 0.3% drop in the prior month.
