Kazakhstan: Industrial production speeds up in November
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 8.2% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 7.1% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for manufacturing improved in November (+6.4% in annual terms vs +2.2% in October). In contrast, readings softened for mining and quarrying (+10.8% vs +12.5% in October) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-6.9% vs -3.8% in October). Finally, the variation in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply was the same as in the prior month (+3.2% in November and October).
