Latest reading: Kuwait oil output was stable at 2.58 mbpd (million barrels per day) in January, unchanged from December due to the pause in OPEC+ quota hikes agreed for Q1. However, oil production was still 7.1% higher in annual terms, the fastest growth rate since 2022.
Outlook: Oil production will likely continue to plateau in the remainder of Q1 2026 due to the pause to OPEC+ quota hikes. That said, output will still be significantly higher year on year.
