Latvia: Inflation slows in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices were up 3.8% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 4.3% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.3% in annual terms vs +5.7% in October), transportation (+2.1% vs +2.6% in October) and restaurants and hotels (+5.0% vs +5.5% in October). Finally, the changes in housing and utilities and recreation were the same as in the prior month (+6.2% and +2.1%, respectively).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 3.8% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 4.2% increase in the previous month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices declined 0.34% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.25% increase in the prior month.
