Lithuania: Inflation slows in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices increased 3.6% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 3.7% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+4.5% in annual terms vs +5.2% in October), housing and utilities (+2.2% vs +2.6% in October) and restaurants and hotels (+6.2% vs +6.9% in October). In contrast, price pressures were higher for transportation in November (+2.0% vs +1.9% in October). Finally, the change in recreation prices was the same as in the prior month (+4.1% in November and October).
Meanwhile, consumer prices increased 3.8% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 4.1% increase in the prior month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.38% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.10% rise in the previous month.
