Luxembourg: Economic sentiment falls in January
Latest reading: Economic sentiment dropped to 91.5 in January, following December’s 95.6. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and it was the lowest since August 2024.
In January, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-31.6 vs -25.1 in December) and the construction sector (-18.1 vs -17.9 in December). On the flipside, sentiment turned less pessimistic among consumers (-8.8 vs -8.9 in December).
