Netherlands: Industrial production returns to growth in December
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding construction—was up 0.6% on a seasonally and calendar-adjusted month-on-month basis in December, following a 0.9% drop in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in December improved for manufacturing (+0.6% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -1.0% in November) plus mining and quarrying (+5.9% vs 0.0% in November).
On a seasonally and calendar-adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production—excluding construction—increased 3.7% in December, following 1.5% growth in the previous month.
