Netherlands: Industrial production speeds up in October
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.3% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in October, following a 0.1% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in October improved for manufacturing (+0.2% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -0.2% in September) and mining and quarrying (+10.6% vs +1.1% in September). In contrast, the reading for water collection and distribution softened in October (-0.8% vs +3.2% in September).
On a seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 3.7% in October, following 3.9% growth in the prior month.
