Peru: Merchandise trade surplus narrows in November
Latest reading: In November, the trade balance was USD +3.7 billion, following a USD +4.1 billion figure in the prior month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD +32.1 billion.
Exports rose 10.1% in annual terms in November, coming on the back of 44.4% growth in the previous month. Higher oil and copper prices plus stronger coffee volumes drove November’s increase. Imports increased 6.3% in annual terms in November, coming on the back of 10.7% growth in the prior month. November’s reading was the weakest since April 2025.
