Poland: Economic sentiment drops in February
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 101.3 in February, following January’s 103.2. That said, the latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In February, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-14.2 vs -14.1 in January), the services sector (-1.5 vs -1.3 in January), the retail sector (-0.7 vs -0.6 in January) and among consumers (-3.1 vs +1.5 in January). In contrast, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-16.3 vs -16.5 in January).
