Poland: Industrial production falls in January
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 1.5% on a year-on-year basis in January, following a 7.3% rise in the prior month. January’s reading was the weakest since February 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in January worsened for mining and quarrying (+5.5% in annual terms vs +7.0% in December) and manufacturing (-3.2% vs +7.9% in December). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas and utilities improved in January (+18.7% vs -2.6% in December).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production was down 3.7% in January, following 2.1% growth in the prior month.
