Serbia: Inflation is unchanged in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 2.8% in annual terms in November, stable from the prior month’s reading. November’s reading was the joint-weakest since March 2021.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were higher price pressures for transportation (+2.7% on a year-on-year basis vs +1.7% in October) and housing and utilities (+7.5% vs +7.2% in October). In contrast, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.7% vs +0.3% in October) and clothing and footwear (+3.0% vs +3.1% in October). Finally, the change in restaurants and hotels prices was the same as in the prior month (+6.9% in November and October).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices rose 4.1% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 3.8% increase in the previous month.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.24% in November in month-on-month terms, following a 0.49% increase in the previous month.
