Singapore: Inflation is unchanged in November from October
Latest reading: Consumer prices were up 1.2% on a year-on-year basis in November, stable from the prior month’s reading.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were higher price pressures for healthcare (+4.4% in annual terms in November vs +4.0% in October). In contrast, there were milder price pressures for housing and utilities (+0.2% vs +0.3% in October) and transport (+3.2% vs +3.4% in October). Finally, the change in food prices was the same as in the prior month (+1.2% in November and October).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices rose 1.2% on a year-on-year basis in November, unchanged from the previous month’s reading.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.25% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.01% increase in the prior month.
