Slovakia: Industrial production recovers in January
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 2.6% on a year-on-year basis in January, following a 8.5% decline in the prior month. January’s reading was the strongest since March 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in January improved for manufacturing (+0.9% in annual terms vs -4.6% in December), mining and quarrying (-11.4% vs -11.5% in December) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+16.5% vs -25.8% in December).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production rose 1.2% in January, following a 1.9% fall in the previous month.
