Slovenia: Industrial output falls at a milder pace in January
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 2.9% in annual terms in January, following a 3.7% drop in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in January improved for manufacturing (-2.4% on a year-on-year basis vs -4.5% in December) and mining and quarrying (-16.3% vs -27.7% in December). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply softened in January (-6.8% vs +4.9% in December).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production rose 1.0% in January, following a 1.0% decline in the previous month.
