Slovenia: Industrial production contracts faster in October
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 2.0% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 1.0% drop in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for manufacturing softened in October (-1.8% in annual terms vs -0.2% in September). In contrast, readings improved for mining and quarrying (-13.2% vs -27.6% in September) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (0.0% vs -2.1% in September).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 0.9% in October, following a 1.3% rise in the previous month.
