Sweden: Industrial production rebounds in December
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—rose 4.5% in calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in December, following a 0.1% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for manufacturing improved in December (+4.7% on a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -0.3% in November). In contrast, the reading for mining softened in December (-7.7% vs +7.6% in November).
On a working day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 5.8% in December, following 3.5% growth in the prior month.
