Sweden: Industrial production shrinks in October
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—fell 5.7% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in October, following 4.3% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in October worsened for manufacturing (-6.2% in calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +4.8% in September) and mining (-3.2% vs -3.0% in September).
On a working day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 6.4% in October, following a 15.2% rise in the previous month.
