United Kingdom: Retail sales fall at a softer clip in November
Latest reading: Retail sales declined 0.1% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a 0.9% fall in the prior month. November’s drop contrasted market expectations for an expansion and was driven by lower non-store retail and supermarket sales.
On a year-on-year basis, retail sales were up 0.6% in November, following a 0.5% increase in the previous month.
