Industrial production rebounds in November
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 2.3% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a flat reading in the previous month. November's reading was the strongest since December 2023. Relative to the prior month's data, the reading for manufacturing improved in November (+2.4% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -0.6% in October). In contrast, readings worsened for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+2.5% vs +5.5% in October) and mining and quarrying (-3.8% vs +1.4% in October). In working day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production rose 5.8% in November, following a 1.0% increase in the previous month.
