Inflation slows in January from December
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 1.2% on a year-on-year basis in January, following a 1.5% increase in the previous month. Price pressures eased for food, housing and transport. Consumer prices increased 0.18% in January in month-on-month terms, following a 0.37% increase in the prior month.
