Industrial production shrinks in November
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.7% in working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a 0.5% increase in the previous month. Relative to the prior month's figures, readings in November worsened for mining and quarrying (-0.6% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +0.9% in October) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-2.4% vs +5.5% in October). In contrast, the reading for manufacturing improved in November (-0.4% vs -0.5% in October). On a working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production fell 0.5% in November, following 0.3% growth in the prior month.
