Industrial production recovers in November
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—rose 0.1% in a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in November, following a 6.0% drop in the previous month. Relative to the prior month's data, readings in November improved for manufacturing (-0.1% in a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -6.5% in October) and mining (+7.7% vs -3.0% in October). In working day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production increased 4.4% in November, following 6.4% growth in the previous month.
