Belarus: Industrial output growth dips to an over two-year low in April
Latest reading: Industrial production growth fell to 1.4% year on year in April (March: +2.1% yoy), marking the weakest reading since February 2023 and remaining weak by post-pandemic standards. Looking at the details of the release, a softer increase in manufacturing production outweighed improved readings for mining, energy output and water supply.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production dropping to 5.1% from March’s 5.7%, the softest result since December 2023.
