Bulgaria: Economic sentiment rises in January
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went up to 100.6 in January, following December’s 100.1. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In January, sentiment improved in the services sector (+9.2 vs +7.4 in December) and among consumers (-23.5 vs -26.8 in December). In contrast, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-1.3 vs +1.1 in December), the construction sector (-2.1 vs +0.4 in December) and the retail sector (+12.8 vs +13.7 in December).
