Bulgaria: Economic sentiment declines in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 101.6 in October, following September’s 103.2. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to an upbeat near-term outlook for the economy.
In October, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-1.9 vs -0.4 in September) and among consumers (-23.9 vs -20.0 in September). However, sentiment turned more upbeat in the construction sector (+2.6 vs +1.2 in September), the services sector (+11.1 vs +10.9 in September) and the retail sector (+10.5 vs +7.8 in September).
