Bulgaria: Inflation eases in November from October
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 5.2% in annual terms in November, following a 5.3% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, price pressures reduced for food and non-alcoholic beverages in November (+5.0% on a year-on-year basis vs +6.4% in October). In contrast, there were more notable price pressures for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+8.0% vs +7.7% in October) and transportation (+1.1% vs +0.5% in October).
Meanwhile, harmonized consumer prices were up 3.7% in annual terms in November, following a 3.8% rise in the prior month.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.47% in November in month-on-month terms, following a 0.88% rise in the previous month.
