Chile: Economic activity speeds up in December
Latest reading: Economic activity increased 1.7% in annual terms in December, following a 1.2% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for non-mining improved in December (+3.0% in annual terms vs +1.7% in November). In contrast, the reading for mining worsened in December (-8.1% vs -2.6% in November).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, economic activity increased 0.6% in December, following a 0.6% fall in the previous month.
