Colombia: Economic activity slows in January
Latest reading: Economic activity rose 1.5% on a year-on-year basis in January, following 1.8% growth in the prior month. January’s reading was the weakest since April 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in January softened for agriculture (-2.4% on a year-on-year basis vs -1.0% in December), industrial (-1.0% vs -0.8% in December) and services (+2.7% vs +2.9% in December).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, economic activity was down 0.1% in January, following a 1.0% increase in the prior month.
