Croatia: Industrial production falls in January
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.8% on a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis in January, following a 4.5% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in January softened for mining and quarrying (-13.7% in working-day adjusted year-on-year terms vs 0.0% in December) and manufacturing (-0.8% vs +6.3% in December). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply improved in January (+11.1% vs -6.0% in December).
On a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production declined 2.4% in January, following a 1.2% increase in the prior month.
