Croatia: Inflation accelerates in February from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices increased 3.9% in annual terms in February, following a 3.6% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were higher price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+3.0% in annual terms vs +2.2% in January), transportation (+0.4% vs -0.7% in January) and housing and utilities (+10.6% vs +10.5% in January). In contrast, price pressures reduced for restaurants and hotels in February (+7.1% vs +8.3% in January).
Meanwhile, consumer prices increased 3.8% in February, following a 3.4% rise in the previous month.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices were up 0.30% in February on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.10% increase in the prior month.
