Czech Republic: Economic sentiment increases in January
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 101.4 in January, following December’s 98.8. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In January, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (-7.9 vs -8.1 in December), the services sector (+36.1 vs +35.1 in December) and among consumers (+1.2 vs -2.4 in December). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (-5.1 vs -2.8 in December) and the retail sector (+9.2 vs +10.1 in December).
